After approximately 168 hours of playing video games, sleeping, walking on my treadmill, watching movies/anime, and doing leisure activities that are rare for me, I've decided to start another project.

Star Days

It is said that when people die, they become stars. A group of people from different parallel universes and planets go on a journey to travel outside the Solar System and bring back loved ones who have passed away.

ALIENS

I suppose you could call it a dating sim about aliens, but technically they are all human… just from different planets in different parallel universes in which their planet is the only known one to be able to support human life. (example: in one universe, Mercury has oxygen/water and is the 3rd planet from the sun while Earth is the 1st.)

Right now you see 4 bachelors, but this game will have a total of 8… at least one (if not two of them) will be a bachelorette.




Release Date


My goodness, it's too early to tell. I think this project is going to be big… even bigger than Number Days. I might even break my 6 month "rule"/limit. I MIGHT. BUT I REALLY HOPE I DON'T HAVE TO BECAUSE DANG GURL HALF A YEAR IS A LONG TIME AND I WANNA MOVE ON. My early dating sims took me about 2-3 months to finish each… my more recent ones have been in the 4-5 range… I'll post a release month/date when I think I have one, okey-dokey.

Story


Tara has never been good at making friends. While she does have a few close ones, her best friend, Lee is one of the most important people to her. When he is diagnosed with leukemia, Tara finds it hard to imagine life without him as she has known him since childhood. She holds strongly onto the belief that Lee would recover, but he eventually loses his battle with cancer. Despite feeling prepared for the worst outcome, Tara feels deep anguish.

Later she encounters an odd bunch of individuals and what looks like a spaceship. They are apparently on a journey to travel outside the Solar System to "The Constellations", an area inhabited by people from all universes who have died. It is said that if a price is paid, one can bring a deceased person back to life. While Tara initially considers joining the crew, she ends up refusing and going home.

The following night, Tara is "abducted" by the crew. No, they don't want to probe her brain, but she happened to have dropped the gift she received from Lee on her birthday and they just wanted to return it. (apparently ringing the doorbell would've been too suspicious, so abduction it was) As the crew was about to set Tara back on her way, she requests to come along and they welcome her aboard. Tara embarks on a journey to not only give Lee a second chance at life, but to also discover how to make new friends and what life really means to her.

As each character's story gets deeper, they will show off more of their true personality and eventually they will reveal the identity of the person they wish to bring back to life.
Genre of the story is best described as adventure, sci-fi, romance, comedy ("pacdabutt" humor), and a bit slice of life.

Characters


Star Days
From Earth and is the main character (that you can rename of course). Sometimes plays the role of "the only sane person". While she's the adventurous type, she's cautious and skeptical. Might be the "smartest" out of all of the main characters/players I've made. Enjoys challenges, but sometimes sticks her nose where it doesn't belong. She recently donated her hair which made her friend, Lee a little upset before he passed away. He thought that she looked better with long hair.

Star Days
From Pluto. Earthlings aren't the only ones who don't classify Pluto as a planet. The other crew members never even heard of Pluto before. Ry constantly insists that Pluto is the most awesome and planet-like planet to ever be. Often likes to think that he's in charge even when he's lacking the authority. He's the type that goes out of his way for others, but can be too compassionate for his own good… which gets him in trouble. Despite wanting to be good for the world, he almost seems to enjoy causing trouble. "A bad boy with morals"… I suppose that's what he's called.

Star Days
From Saturn. Sometimes referred to as "Mag" by the others. In English, his name sounds like a thing we read while taking a dump, but in his native language, "Magazine" is just a name… like "John". (they overcome language barriers are with a special device) The technology in his world is beginning to cause major problems as people are abusing its power and causing war. He's technically the "captain" of the ship because it belongs to him, but he doesn't act like one due to his apathy. Sometimes his personality is so mechanical, it's humorous. Things that look "cute" tickle his fancy though…

Star Days
From Neptune. In his culture, exposing one's face in public is just as inappropriate as walking around without pants on. The face is something only lovers are supposed to see. It's even inappropriate for family and close friends to see faces. Children and the elderly are excused from this "norm" however. He still finds it a bit uncomfortable being around people who expose their faces so much. He lost his mask and is resorting to a box to cover his face. While he's a gentleman at heart and has good manners, he is paranoid and freaks out often… and I mean often.

Star Days
From Mercury. Has little compassion for others but often finds himself being dragged into situations he'd rather not take part in. Not initially part of the crew but joins later in the story. He actually never wanted to be part of the crew but his own transportation device broke down while he was trying to get to The Constellations. He should be thankful that they even took him in, but he acts very bitter towards everyone. Perhaps he just doesn't know how to express his gratitude. (my a**hole senses are tingling… but who knows, I might not hate him as much as I think I will… just look at Xolga, he was able to get on my good side)

Gameplay


Like Number Days, there will be objectives/quests/etc. but they will play out more like "side quests" that are unrequired to continue the main story, but lead to different story/character paths. If one were to ignore all of the objectives and quests, the gameplay will feel more like my older dating sims. That way, if one's browser were to crap out on them, they would have to make up less progress. (save systems on flash with action script 2.0 are rather iffy, and they don't work with every browser… for the most part, I'm going to avoid them because they are not reliable enough)

There will be different worlds (I'm planning for Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Uranus, and maybe one extra which is a secret right now) the crew can travel to where the player can meet and unlock more characters they can befriend/"date".

I'm splitting the bachelors/ bachelorettes into two groups: the main "crew" (all of them are shown in the poster) and side characters. All of them will have story routes and you can get endings with each one. Main differences between the two groups is that the main crew plays a large role in the main plot while the side characters just play a role in their own story in their own worlds.

The side characters will be from one of each: Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Uranus. At least one (if not two) of them will be female… and one of them is going to be a guy with glasses because I love guys with glasses and I'll be too sad if I have to make a game with no glasses guy.  So actually, there will be 8 different characters to choose from… whew, a lot of work up ahead…

I might not l reveal their identities prior to the release of this game just for the sake of surprising you guys. But who knows, pictures of them will probably get leaked onto my tumblr eventually.
There will also be multiple endings similar to Memory and Number Days.


Notes


I know that a lot of people out there want me to go a little more "mainstream" with the theme/concepts of my dating sims (vampires, demons, wizards, ninjas, magic, creatures, fantasy, music/idols, school setting, cat/dog/animal people—I've done a few of those by the way) but when I think of an idea, I try to let it flow. I guess my ideas don't always flow in the direction of vampires and stuff. When my ideas go mainstream, I let them go mainstream. When's the next time that's going to that happen? It's hard to predict that kind of stuff…

A part of me feels like I should be making stuff that pleases you guys and another part of me says that I should be free to make whatever I want because this is my hobby and people just happen to support t it. Well this isn't an actual occupation and it's not my job, but I think I can find a happy medium between the two.

And I can't make dating sims about your favorite anime/manga, other TV shows, books, movies, etc. Or else the ad company will steal my kidneys and eat my face off, remember? Or if they don't… I'll probably get sued. I don't own any of those characters or stories.
Don't get this confused with making fan art/fan games/fan etc. that are nonprofit. Fan stuff is mostly harmless until one starts making a profit off of it without the rights—but that's another territory and I'm not going to go over it because I don't know all of the rules.

All right. I hibernated for the rest of the summer. Now it's time to get back into action.
My college experience so far and the people I've gotten to know within the past couple of months have given me some good inspiration.



This is Texting Days Sim Date *cough* I mean *cough* Number Days Sim Date.
But don't be fooled. I promise you, there is very little to no math involved in this game… So why does this dating simulation have a weird title? Read on!

(And yes, you can date the chick. If you're grossed out by this option or if you're just simply a straight girl with no desire to explore, you can avoid all the romantic situations by ignoring her… this also applies to any dudes that gross you out.)

EDIT: I finally have a release date for Number Days! Well… more like "release month"... but...
Release date: December 2012
(You may be wondering: "The beginning, middle, or... end of the month?" It's hard to predict the exact day I can release it but it'll be ready within December, I'm pretty sure of it) ;w;

Story




Today's the grand opening of the new amusement park in town so Evelyn and her friends decided to check it out. After a long day of waiting in lines and having fun, it was time to go home… unfortunately for Evelyn, she finds herself alone and lost in the park in a blink of an eye. A massive glass wall surrounds the park's borders and it seems that everyone had disappeared as not another soul was in sight.

Despite not having a signal, her cell phone receives a text from an unknown source: "Your time here will end when your number reaches zero." Evelyn soon meets others in the desolate amusement park. Like her, they also received the mysterious text message. When everyone put their heads together, they noticed that all of their cell phones display a number instead of the time. Uncannily, their phones also seem to correspond with their own energy. When their phone's battery is full, they feel alert and awake. In contrast, they feel exhausted when their phone has little to no power. Good thing a lot of kids nowadays bring their own phone chargers with them.

As days pass by, their numbers rise and drop in an unpredictable pattern. Evelyn and the others decided to work together and hope to not only solve the meaning behind these numbers, but to find a way out of the amusement park.

Characters





:bulletyellow: Evelyn (renamable): Passive and usually reserved around strangers, though she's not bad at getting along with them. She's generous and the type of person who gives more than she takes. Her number starts at 12. It's unknown to the group why her number is the lowest.


:bulletyellow: Thane: Calm and cool. He likes to get all the facts before making any conclusions and does a lot of thinking in his spare time. He was working in the arcade before the whole incident. It was his first day too. Tough luck. His number is the highest and starts at 29.


:bulletyellow: Spencer: Smart, but impulsive. Sometimes he'll be aggressive and stubborn, but he genuinely cares for people close to him. He's pretty skeptical about the whole situation. Beforehand, he was also hanging out with friends at the amusement park. His number starts at 22.


:bulletyellow: Bryce: Easy going and whimsical. He has a talent for calming people down and holds the group together despite not being the "leader" type. He is a psychology student who was studying human behaviors at the amusement park for a project. His number starts at 17.


:bulletyellow: Lena: Very quiet and extremely apathetic. She hardly speaks or shows any emotion. Evelyn seems to be the only person she's willing to talk to. Perhaps she's just shy. She doesn't reveal her reason for visiting the amusement park until much later. Her number starts at 20.


:bulletyellow: Arlo: A strange but friendly guy. He's outgoing, curious, and playful. He always means well, but sometimes he'll cross the line of what's appropriate and what's not. Unfortunately for him, he lost his cell phone so he has no idea what his number is. (And yes, a lost phone is quite an issue... as his energy correlates with his phone's battery...)

This time around, the number of days you'll play for will depend on what you do in the game. There is a pattern and a cause behind what increases and decreases the numbers. You may even figure it out before the rest of group does. The longer you last, the deeper the story and characters will become. (Don't worry about not lasting long. Lasting a decent amount of time will be easy. Staying longer will take more effort of course.)



There will be multiple endings and cut scenes. Major cut scenes will have nice CGs (like Memory Days) but I am going to incorporate the use of game (chibi) sprites more in this game. It might feel a bit RPG-ish or adventure-ish at times. I'll let you decide if that's a good or a bad thing. Regardless of opinions, this is one of my rules for this project: "I do what I want." (Projects I've done in the past that had me appeal to the audience as much as possible despite my tastes and objections seem to be less successful…)

I would like to have this story bring the characters together. Instead of having the player just interact one on one with each character, I plan to have more cut scenes where all the characters are involved. While the player will still have romantic interests, I want the group as a whole to be able to develop a strong friendship as the story progresses. The whole premise of this game might sound a bit dramatic/horror-ish, and while I can't deny the fact that the group will face some serious dilemmas, there will still be romance and my usual "humor" in this story.

Other Notes




:pencil: Many of you have requested for the option to customize the main/player character in my future sim dates. I appreciate the thoughtful suggestions and I do note them. I'm not going to say that a custom character would be impossible for me to do, but it would be a really great feat for me to take on. Drawing and coding wise, it would be extremely time consuming. (I try to avoid spending more than 6 months on a single project. *cough* Chrono Days *cough* Projects that last over half a year tend to take over my life since I work on them alone.)  I'm also wary of the fact that I likely will not be able to satisfy the many tastes/styles/preferences out there. People tend to get picky about hair styles and clothing when they get the option to customize their characters.
As of now, I do not plan to incorporate the option to customize characters in any of my future works, but it is not a completely dead idea to me.

:pencil: Some of you many have realized that this will be my first sim date that features a player character with black hair. Why have I avoided making a player character with this hair color for so long? My main reason was that I didn't want fans/people to compare me to the character. When I was younger, I would refrain from drawing girls with long or dark hair because I didn't like it when people asked me, "Are you drawing yourself?". Don't know why I felt that way, but carry on.
My second reason would probably be the fact that the guy with black hair tends to be popular in every game (I'll get statistics of it, I swear… no I won't. Don't get your hopes up.) and I have this unspoken rule that "everyone within a game/project all have to different hair colors unless if they're related." Well good for these guys, right? They don't have to compete with the "black-haired guy" this time around…
But lord, if anybody says something along the lines of "omg the main character looks liek u" I'm going to Amy Smash everythingggggggg alksdfjlsdf I'm not a 2-D person. I'm 3-D. Three. Dimensional. Not even my 2-D drawn avatar of myself looks like herrrrr. Actually, I probably won't even freak out. Maybe I'll be just a bit annoyed if over 100 people make that comment.
All right. I think I made my point.

:new: :pencil: Can't believe I forgot to also note the issue about making a sim date based off of shows/movies/manga/anime. Suggestions are nice, but unfortunately the ad network I work with will bite my head off if I try to submit a game to them with any copyrighted characters in it. Suggestions like "Make a Naruto/Hunger Games/Twilight/Harry Potter/Ouran High School Host Club/Power Rangers/Sponge Bob/Adventure Time/(ETC) sim date" are sadly suggestions I can't really note. I am aware that I did push it with Wonderland Days Sim Date (I was a rookie/noob at the time) Back then I actually didn't know that I was pushing the limits. It was a year later that I then realized that I was able to dodge that bullet since the characters were original despite the concept.

I've noticed quite a few of you are losing patience for the release of Memory Days Sim Date. I really hope to finish it before summer ends. This means it could come out in either July or August... (Or possibility later than that if I hit a major setback of some kind. That's highly unlikely though... just sayin'. I'm decent at predicting things.) It's pretty hard to say when exactly it will come out since this project's not running on a solid schedule (due to experimenting, my part time job, and school (Classes start in a couple of weeks for me, please don't ask what college I'm attending. That's stepping a little bit too far into the stalker territory.)

Sooo much for being lazy. Got this journal done a lot soon than expected.

This is my current project: Lunar Days Sim Date. Here, I already made a FAQ so don't ask unnecessary questions:



:bulletgreen: Q: Release date?
A: idk. tba. Maybe around 2012 like how it says on the poster above? Around January 2012...

:bulletgreen: Q: How many characters are datable?
A: Eight. Four are unlockable though.

:bulletgreen: Q: What about Xolga and Mr. Toko? ;A;
A: Like Chrono Days, they will be running shops in this game. Mr. Toko will not be Veon's partner in crime as shown in Emerald Moon.

:bulletgreen: Q: Is there anything different about this sim date compared to the others?
A: The story and cut scenes will run kind of like Xolga and Mr. Toko (visual-novely). This mean more drawing for me, but I think the extra work will be well worth it.

As promised, here's more info on the game, but oh looooorrrdddd... this basic plot summary is too long. //dies

Do not read it. Even if you really want to or feel like it. Just... don't. Skip down to the TL;DR to save yourself.

:bulletgreen:Karina (or, insert player name here) is your average gal. Kind of a bookworm, slightly tomboyish, but can be hotheaded sometimes. Probably the only strange thing about her is that she makes a trip to the local library every week... the weird thing being her reason that is. Feeling like there is some type of calling towards her, Karina has been having a recurring dream where she finds herself in the library with a mysterious green covered book, but her dream always comes to an end when she opens it.

:bulletgreen:But then on one weekly trip to the library, Karina uncannily finds the book that she has been seeing in her dreams. Debating whether or not she is dreaming, Karina decides to settle the mystery by opening the book. Next thing she knows is that she's in an unfamiliar world with run down streets and a glowing green moon in the sky. Before she can comprehend what exactly is going on, a young man named Veon bumps into her. Turns out he's a thief on the run and quickly scrambles to gather the stolen goods dropped from the collision... including Karina's book. During the chase after Veon, Karina runs into two bounty hunters named Terrance and Elias, and a clumsy police officer named Fidel. More stuff happens, but in the end, Veon gets away.

:bulletgreen:Karina explains to the two bounty hunters of her situation and how Veon "stole" her magical book. Terrance feels guilty and invites her to stay at their residence for the time being. Elias objects, but unwillingly compromises. Fortunately later, Veon finds Karina and returns her book to her. He claims that he took it by complete accident but strangely starts explaining the book's magic. Turns out the book can bring one from their world to the world they're currently in, the "Emerald World". The book's magic only works when the moon of that world is full and it takes about a month for a new moon to become a full one in the lunar cycle. (So as always, the main character is stuck there for a month, etc, etc...) Karina decides to wait for the full moon so that she can use the book to return home, or at least that's her plan for now...


TL;DR:


Karina is the name of the player character. A magic book brings her to another world, but it only works when the moon is full. She must wait a month for moon to be full again so that she can go back home. She also encounters lots of people. There. That prettyyy much says everything in the butt load of paragraphs above.





A bounty hunter who works with Elias. He's calm and mature, but can be very dense to how others around him feel.


Terrance's partner in bounty hunting. He's often hotheaded and jumping into action too early. Also calls Terrance "Terra" and refers to Fidel as "Giraffe".


The clumsy police officer who just can't seem to do anything right. He makes everybody around him wonder why he's an officer in the first place and awes them by how freakishly tall he is. Obviously by looks, he's the shy timid type.


An optimistic boy who runs the flower shop. Despite his friendliness and charisma, it's obvious that he's not telling others the whole truth about himself.


The infamous thief that many are after. He's cocky and flirty, but also seems to actually have manners. Even though he had a lot of involvement in the introduction, he is an unlockable character.


A street magician who strives to be a pure gentleman. Takes a fancy in the player early on and decides that making her smile with his wits and charm is his ultimate goal. He can be very forward about how he feels and is also unlockable.


A down to the earth girl. She's open to those close to her, but can be shy around strangers. She is a bit sickly, but she doesn't let her poor health get in her way too much. Also unlockable.


Another furry. A young man who also appears to be a "feline persona" like Veon. By talking to others, the player learns that the city doesn't have many felines because of discrimination. By looks I hope you can tell that this guy is not much of a talker. He does however, have a few "unexpected" traits and is also unlockable.

The Making of Xolga and Mr. Toko

SUPER LONG JOURNAL ENTRY, GO! Read at your own risk.



My first visual novel has come to an end! ;A; Thanks for all the support on Xolga and Mr. Toko!




I don't know if most, but some are aware that Xolga and Mr. Toko was originally a comic book story that I wrote when I was 13 years old (Goodness, I miss being that young…) From back then to now, the concept and main characters stayed the same. Aside from the main plot line and ending, here are some of the major differences between the original comic and the visual novel. (I've mentioned the first two before, but I'll list them again…)

:bulletorange: In the original story, Mr. Toko eats the locket and they travel world to world looking for a cure rather than chasing the locket.

:bulletorange: Instead of traveling to various sim date worlds, the duo traveled to various worlds in my comic books.

:bulletorange: The full original title was "The Adventures of Xolga and Mr. Toko". Now it's been shortened to just "Xolga and Mr. Toko".

:bulletorange: The moral in the comic went something like this: "Even though if you work really hard, sometimes you just don't get what you want. The moral in the visual novel is more like: "Life can be hard, reality can be scary. But with support and others around you, being strong enough to deal with it all doesn't seem so difficult."

:bulletorange: There wasn't the motif of dreams vs. reality.

:bulletorange: Xolga's family was not mentioned at all. His mother, Ryoko, his father, Aro, his cousins, Kai and Mako… all didn't exist.

:bulletorange: Mr. Toko's past with the gang and guns wasn't mentioned either.

:bulletorange: In the original story, Xolga is 18 and Mr. Toko is 20. But then they are both bumped up by one year. Why? So that I could crack drinking jokes with Mr. Toko. (I know that the legal drinking age in places like Alberta is 19 18, but… whatever.)

:bulletorange: Walter and Linda didn't have names… or more like their names were never mentioned…

:bulletorange: Xolga never swears or cusses. Actually, that's a lie. He does… like once… but it's censored. (Back then, swearing was more offensive, okay?) He used words like "heck" instead. (Now that I look back at the comic, Xolga developed good manners halfway through the story too…)

:bulletorange: The comic book has 6 chapters. The visual novel has 9.




Now just for fun, I posted some pictures of the original comic below. I know I was 13 (and 13's not THAT young) but I was still terrible, terrible, TERRIBLE at drawing. Please do not claw your eyeballs out. Looking back at these pages makes me want to cry too, but remember… this was posted just for fun and reference.



Chapter 1: It's about the same and didn't change much actually. Xolga's a detective, Mr. Toko gets hired as his assistant, Xolga freaks out, they go on a mission to retrieve the stolen locket, they turn into stuffed animal like things…



Chapter 2: Xolga and Mr. Toko first arrive in a weird cloud world. They meet a magician named Mariko. She was from a weird story about her accidently turning a poor boy into a girl. This is where the "rape" scene happens.



Chapter 3: They find themselves in a world where dragons n' shit exist and meet a couple that fight off the monsters. A boulder falls off a cliff and hits Mr. Toko. This is when he pretends that he's dying, except he asks Xolga for a water bed instead of a piggy back around Reton city while wearing a tutu.



Chapter 4: I (the author) make an appearance, but refuse to tell Xolga how to turn back to normal. Apparently I told him "If you want something so badly, then get it with your own hands." Xolga and Mr. Toko don't stay for long and travel to the next world where they meet Veon from Emerald Moon .



Chapter 5: Turns out Veon's parents were captured so Xolga and Mr. Toko decide to help him out. Things don't go well (both the parents die apparently) and then Mr. Toko and Veon become friends.



Chapter 6: Xolga and Mr. Toko arrive in "heaven" and meet an angel. Xolga looks forward to meeting "God"… but "God" turns out to be the author (me, sadly). I tell Xolga that opening the locket would've turned him back to normal, but he can't because Mr. Toko ate it. Xolga gets mad but then gets over it. Then Xolga and Mr. Toko part ways. Mr. Toko goes back to support Veon (Thus causes his first appearance in Emerald Moon) , Xolga stays in "heaven" (Thus causes his first appearance in another story called Halo's Gate where he's working with angels)

... WHAT A WEIRD STORY. OKAY. I hope nobody requests this, but… NO. I am NOT going to upload or post the whole original comic. NEVER. I… I can't. I'll die. I'm sorry.






In late 2008/early 2009 (about one year later), I attempted to remake Xolga and Mr. Toko. I redrew the first chapter but never got further than that. I did however color some panels and made a video out of it. DON'T LOOK IT UP ON YOUTUBE. Your brain will melt, I swear.

:bulletorange: Q: What inspired this series?
A: Those of you who are familiar with Kingdom Hearts or Tsubasa Chronicles can probably tell that those two things were strong influences on the whole idea of "traveling world to world and meeting familiar characters from works within the same genre/author".

:bulletorange: Q: What about Mr. Toko's past? There are still open holes...
A: It's possible that I might... MIGHT make a spin off that covers his back story in the long future... I'm not too sure about that though.

:bulletorange: Q: How did you get the episodes out so quickly?
A: I work hard and efficiently.

:bulletorange: Q: How do you pronounce Xolga's name?
A: Sometimes an "x" makes a weird "sh" sound, sometimes it makes a "z" sound. In this case, it's a "z" sound so... "Zolga".

:bulletorange: Q: What is Xolga's surname?
A: Utsugi. His last name was actually mentioned in the original comic, but not in the visual novel. Another way to figure out his last name is to look at his cousins Kai and Mako. Their fathers were brothers, so they also share the name "Utsugi".

:bulletorange: Q: Is Xolga based off of somebody in real life?
A: You fan girls just want somebody to stalk IRL, right? But, no. Not really. In my mind, Xolga represents the negative feelings that all people naturally feel (example: regret), as well temptations to give into being selfish. Mr. Toko on the other hand, represents the side of feelings that give strong efforts into living life and understanding others. It's... like Yin and Yang?

:bulletorange: Q: Why does Mr. Toko like muscular women?
A: Some men like curvy women, some men like women with long hair, some men like women with dark hair, some men like plump women, some men like slender women. It's all about personal preference.

The Making of Chrono Days

Thanks for all the support on Chrono Days Sim Date!

This game took me about half a year to make, but I had tons of fun (and tons of stress) making it.

The main inspiration for the time traveling concept came from a game that I'm sure many of you are familiar with:


After beating that game, I just couldn't get the whole "time traveling" concept out of my head. :heart:

Inspiration for Teddy's design came from this very old sketch of mine. (Full view here)


Inspiration for Cole's design came from my hand model, Harris. (Yes, I gave it a name) I bought this thing on my vacation trip last summer and named it after a waiter that served me at a breakfast cafe the following day.
Cole and Saki Dancer was inspired by a young man that I saw playing a DDR type thing at an arcade in a water park. (I was there for ~MHfan11794's birthday party) He was very good... I was impressed. Thank you mysterious boy for inspiring me.


Inspiration for Bianca. Oh my lovely Sasara has inspired me again! (Sasara also inspired me to make Wonderland Days Sim Date because of her uncanny resemblance to "Alice")


Inspiration for Oz. Pffftt. Too obvious.


Inspiration for Roland's... name. Yes, I named Roland after a baker I saw on Ultimate Cake Off (Personality has nothing to do with anything. I just liked his name...)

Landon, Nathan and Emmett were just kind of pulled out of my butt. (In other words, it didn't take a lot of effort or thinking to make their designs)

In the early stages of development, I actually used gradients to color instead of cell shading. SO glad that I decided to switch over to cell shading. Gradients look ugly to me now. ;A;


Emmett was actually planned from the beginning, but he was supposed to be a very, very, VERY minor character. Now look at him, he's like what... ranking 2nd or 3rd place in the popularity poll? His early design had him wearing glasses, but I got rid of them and replaced them with bandages because I thought that it would be weird if both Nathan and him wore glasses...


Deleted scene from Roland's path. I just couldn't fit it in, man. It's supposed to be when he crash landed while getting medicine for his sister.

The news: There are now EIGHT different datable characters in Chrono Days.

C-C-C-C-C-C-COMBO BREAKER...!! Oh my god what am I doing? Th-this is crazy. By the way, as far as progress goes, I've got all of the characters and backgrounds drawn. The game will still be released around early or mid 2011 though. I'm about halfway trough drawing the kiss/events/ending scenes, I still have to design everybody's date outfits, and I've hardly written any script. :'D I've still got a long way to go, dohohohoho.


Cole's great grandfather. I didn't plan for this guy to be datable in the beginning, but then I started writing his script and got to know him better... and... and HE WAS TOO ADORABLE TO JUST LEAVE AS A SIDE CHARACTER. ;A; So he became datable. Unlocking him isn't hard at all by the way. Also, yes if you do get together with him then you would be Cole's great grandmother. BUT, if you don't then you wouldn't have any blood relations with him whatsoever. Is Saige (the player) Cole's great grandmother officially? I don't know, you choose.


A robot and a Tomo look alike. This guy is pretty adorable too. He's easy to unlock... if you have TONS AND TONS OF MONEY or the cheat code that gives you money. Oh you kids and your cheat codes.


Another fake screen shot for teh lulz. "WH-WHAT THE CRAP IS GOING ON??!1!1" is how I'm feeling about all of this.

Happy Halloween, everybody. As a gift, I'm releasing some info on Chrono Days Sim Date, a new sim date I'm currently working on. It's not a trick, it's a treat. But the thing is, it probably won't come out until early or mid 2011. Release date is scheduled for February 2011. Some weeks I don't even make progress because I'm too busy with work and school. It's just something that I'm working little by little on in my free time. It really puts too much stress on me when I make sim dates in less then 2-3 months.

So do you guys know how there was kind of a big jump in improvement from Festival Days to Wonderland Days? Well, Chrono Days is kind of like that compared to my latest sim dates. I'm using cell shading for a crisper bolder look and I believe that the story and characters in this are a lot more deeper than the ones in my others.

Here are some other new features/things I haven't done in my other games but will in this one:
:bulletblack: A character with an unatural hair color besides white or gray. (Well, I guess it's natural for old people...)
:bulletblack: Six... up to SIX datable characters. *dies* Eight... EIGHT. EIIIIIGGGGHHHHTTTTTT...
:bulletblack: Two different world maps.
:bulletblack: The "menu" will be located at the top right hand corner instead of just being a bar across at the top.
:bulletblack: A "science-fiction" and "steampunk" theme instead of a "city-life" or "medieval/fantasy".
:bulletblack: More noticeable height differences among all of the characters.
:bulletblack: Voice overs. HAHA... no. The sound files (even after compression) would make the game size way too big.
:bulletblack: An unlockable female character. (If you're a homophobic, then don't unlock her. :'D) Well, she's more like a "best friend" that you can hang out with, give gifts to, kiss, and eventually spend the rest of your life with if you choose so. Nothing too morally wrong or suggestive, I think.
:bulletblack: A new map system that moves with the mouse. It's pretty tight, yo.

Anywho, the story goes something like this:
You live in Reton, a city that has recently gone through a revolution in technology due to the discovery of IES. Which stands for "infinite energy substance" apparently. After another long day of school, you run into your childhood friend, Teddy. Teddy tells you more about how his older brother, Landon discovered a "hole in time". This hole in time goes back 100 years from your current time, but it will close in about a month. Teddy also tells you that Landon has finally built a device called a "time jumper" that allows people to access this hole in time. You and Teddy then decide to go to the lab to ask Landon more about his new invention. When you arrive at the lab, Landon asks you if you would like to be the first person to try out his time jumper. You take his offer, but when you put the time jumper on, it goes out of control. It brings you 100 years back, but you can't get it to bring you back to the present. A young man named Nathan appears and assists you. You tell him that you're from the future, but you can't return to it because of your broken time jumper. It turns out that Nathan is a clock maker and invites you over to his shop. Nathan tries to fix your time jumper, but doesn't succeed. He offers for you to stay at his shop for the time being and you agree.
Later, after like 5 days, Teddy uses a new time jumper and comes for you. After some talk, he gives you his time jumper so that you'll be able to travel back and forth through the eras normally. BLAH BLAH BLAH ETC, ETC, GOSH THIS WAS LONG.



Saige is her default name. Of course you can rename her to anything you want. Her outfits change depending on which era she's in. Left is present, right is past.


His real name is Theodore, but he absolutely hates his real name with all of his heart... so he goes by "Teddy". His hair is blond at the beginning of the game, but he dyes it later.


Teddy's older brother. Despite his somewhat intimidating appearance, Landon is actually really shy.


An unlockable character. He's my first handicap character for he was born without hands. (THIS IS NOT EDWARD ELRIC FFFF-) To unlock him, you actually have to do something in the past that will change the present. I'm not revealing anymore than that.


He likes to build things and he's a pilot. He's the angry, angst character if you couldn't tell.


Megane bishounen...! Nathan's going to be my first character with glasses that for once isn't shy and bashful.


This is not a trap. Actually, she's not even human. She's a living doll that was made by a wizard. Before you homophobes go: "EWWW! A GIRL!!1!1" Let me tell you that she's an unlockable character. So just don't unlock her if you're scared of girl love. And again, she's like a friend that you can go on dates with. Nothing dirty.


Mr. Toko and Xolga will also be in this game. They will just be running shops though.

Ohgodohgodohgodohgodohgod [link](Kingdom Days Sim Date) is out. Dude. Wasn't that game supposed to come out in late autumn? Oh wait, but then the release date got moved to September... but then wasn't I supposed to get bombarded by school work and be forced to delay the release date to October? Well guess what? I fixed that problem by getting the game done before school even started for me.
No more sim dates for a while, peeps. For real this time. I've already released THREE sim dates this 2010. Stop being greedy. <3 Oh my goodness, I feel like I'm dying. It took me about 45 days to make this game, but I stayed up until 2 AM and woke up at 7 AM for in the last week just so that I would be able to finish it before I would have to start another dreaded school year. (Well, at least I remembered to eat this time.) I'm afraid that I'm going to die young if I keep this up. Anyways, I've got school to focus on now. FFFFF-


Anyways, here's the "making of". Though it's just basically just a bunch of WIP graphics... I didn't draw anything on traditional paper this time because I didn't go to school and had my dandy computer at hand. (Yes, I like to be a bad kid by working on character designs, script, and other useless crap while I'm in school.) Some of them may be semi-spoilerish. Don't look if you hate that kind of stuff. I dunno.

My younger cousin hates how I have to draw people kissing for sim dates. Well, she's only like 10 so she's still scared of cooties...

If you didn't know, I work at a dry cleaners. Some days we hardly got any business so I just sat around and wrote dialogue and script. Yes, it's too small to read. Actually, you wouldn't even be able to read it even if it was full sized. I wrote it sloppily because I didn't want my coworkers to know what I was writing.


I started to get paranoid about not finishing this game so I actually made a schedule for the last week of my summer. *shot* September 4th was ~koko-the-monkey's birthday so I didn't get much done that day. It was a blast though. Happy birthday again, Becky.

EDIT: All of the games that died were brought back to life. Now everything's back to the way it was almost back to the way it was.

deviantART ate all of my sim dates because of the ads on them. ^^; Don't worry though, I'll get them all back up soon. They'll be linking to the games on my Newgrounds Mochigames though. I'll update the author's comments in the games with the fan arts later.

Wh-what is... this?? Is this a joke? I wish. I'm shocked with myself. I mean... [link](Idol Days) hasn't even been out for a whole month yet! BUT, let me just say that this is not a joke/prank/April Fools joke/ect. It's legit and real. Release date is still yet TBA, but as a really, really rough guess... I'm thinking that it might be out around this late Autumn. might be around September.
The guys names from left to right are: Lewis, Daniel, Ian, Ferris, and Joseph (Ferris and Joseph are unlockable characters). The theme is obviously similar to [link](Wonderland Days). You know... fantasy, kingdoms, blah, blah blah. But, not only the colors are a little darker... the whole overall look and atmosphere is not as cute and fluffy as Wonderland.

Anyways, here's the basic plot: You're a princess who's kind of a tomboy and the type who prefers wearing pants to skirts. Regardless of that, you're still a princess and must resume your duties as a royal member of your family. BUT, your kingdom is currently in a war and you guys are getting your butts kicked. It gets to a point where you must flee... or at least that's what your royal servant, Lewis thinks. You both evacuate your kingdom and travel on until you come across another kingdom called Hepcatsis (*is shot* Why am I so bad at coming up with names and feel the need to scramble up my own user name?). In Hepcatsis you meet Joseph, the king. Only problem is, he's not a very good welcome wagon and doesn't want to let you stay in his kingdom. Lewis, being the desperate servant who's only desire in life is to keep you safe, impulsively offers Joseph your hand in marriage. Joseph feels that he is not a complete king without a queen so he accepts. Things get worse when Joseph suddenly leaves to an unknown destination, but he says that he'll be back in time for the wedding... which is in 30 days. (TEE HEE. 30 days...) Ect, ect, ect, blah blah blah...

As an extra bonus, I'll show you guys that Mr. Toko gets to be in this game also. He plays a priest... in a church. Yeah.

SUPER LONG JOURNAL WITH LOTS OF PICTURES FTW

SO... before I start ranting, I am aware that some of you have experienced some bugs in the game such as not being able to enter Devin's room after a certain day (Solved!), the cheat codes are not working even though if you spelled them right, disappearing dialogue on some dates, not being able to get the end with characters even though if you finished their dialogue path, not being able to work at Raven's even though if both your Wisdom and Charm is over 15(Solved!). I ran through the game a few times, but didn't run into any of those glitches. The only thing I would advise you to do if you're running into too many bugs is to download the latest flash player [link](here.)

On another note, I know that the game hasn't been out for very long and many of you probably haven't even played it yet, but I'm just posting this up now so that I won't have to later. :faint:

ANYWAYS....
I suppose what inspired me to make a sim date about idols and rock stars was... [link](American Idol.) Lame, right? Well, I was sitting in front of the TV one evening, watching all of of these people go absolutely crazy over these physically attractive people that had a fair talent for singing. And then the truth struck me: Women cannot resist men with a musical background.
My main objective of this sim date was to make better dialogue and make the player character not be such a mary sue. I hope I've succeeded.


The left was my first concept drawing of Emerson. I thought he looked too "gang-starish", so his final design on the right looks really different.


Cody's concept outfit consisted of a tie and dress shirt. That design later became everybody's concert outfit with various tie colors because I wanted Cody to dress more casually.


Zane didn't change much from the concept to final design... just added a few more details and a vest.


A more refined sketch of the trio's designs. I only thing that I didn't here keep here was Emerson's lame haircut.


Far left is a sketch of the player character or "Lexie". I actually really considered giving her black hair, but Zane already had black hair so I didn't do that... and the other people from left to right on the other side are Ace, Devin, Ruby, and Skyler.


Some of my really, really messy notes. The stuff circled in red was a rough doodle of the map. I actually wanted to include a bridge (circled in green) on the map and make Devin a suicidal kid that attempts to jump off of it. But, I cut that idea out thinking that it was crappy. Circled in blue is a list of possible names that I came up for the characters. Rejected names include: Dominic, Alex, Logan, Lucas, Ferris, Steven, Mark, Adam, Zander, Derek, Emma, Scarlett, Valerie, Lucy, ect...

Title pretty much says all. Yes I am working on a new sim date. Now here are some things I want to say to all of you:
1) Please do not comment "When will your next sim date be done? Ect, ect..." on my profile, on this journal, or on any of my deviations. Just... don't ask, okay? It'll come out when it comes out.
2) I DON'T TAKE SIM DATE REQUESTS. IF YOUR HERE TO MAKE THEM THEN GO AWAY.
3) Yes I do in fact read all of my messages. I just unfortunately don't respond to all of them due to time. Thank you all for the comments though. They mean a lot.

It's called Idol Days Sim Date. :| RELEASE DATE: TBA. Release date should be somewhere around July. The two black silhouettes are the "secret/unlockable" characters. (You will have to wait for the game to come out if you really want to meet them badly.) As for the guys who are visible, their names from left to right are: Cody, Emerson, and Zane. (I'm starting to get into the habit of using American/English names now...)

Here's how the plot basically goes: You're a guitarist looking for a band to join so you moved to the city hoping to find one. Fortunately, you run into a band that just lost their former guitar player and are in need of a new one. You join the group that happen to call themselves "Sistehcap" who are apparently really popular around the area... so popular that they are chased by fan girls everywhere daily, but of course you're new to the city so you have never ever heard of them. The members of Sistehcap are Cody the drummer, Emerson the bassist/vocalist, Zane the keyboardist, and of course you: insert name here the guitarist. Sistehcap's next concert is in 30 days and your objectives are to practice your guitar skills until you reach rock star level, hit on and flirt with your newly acquainted band mates (and perhaps some secret characters), and find love or whatever the crap you want to call it.

Stay tuned, mates... I'm working on it so don't worry. I'm guessing this thing should be out way before summer ends.

A lot of people have ran into problems while playing Wonderland Days. And those problems can be easily solved if you know the cause, so here's a troubleshooting guide to satisfy their needs.

Q: When I work at Gemini Goods, it loops on forever and never stops! What do I do?
A: Get Flash Player 10 from [link] (here.)

Q: I can't get a good ending with any guy. I had way over enough EXP I think. Why?
A: Talk to them until they run out of dialog. Red/White words that say "Out of dialog" will appear over the text box once you achieve this. And another note: each character has 50 text conversations.

Q: For the hidden puzzle 1/8, it won't accept "health" as the answer! Is the game broken?
A: No it's not. The answer is "h", not "health". It asks for what single letter goes in between the letter "ealt" to make a word.

A: I don't know. C'mon, I'm a student and a kid. I have my own daily life that I have to live too. The earliest I'll start another is summer 2010. ... EARLIEST. Earliest, okay??

Q: Will you make a dating sim about insert subject here?
A: No.

Q: Will you make a insert favorite anime series here dating sim?
A: No. One, I won't be able to make money off of it because of copyrights. Two, I will get too many spam messages about how I didn't make certain character(s) up to their standards/originality. Three, it does not give me the chance to create new characters and personalities... therefore, it will not be fun.

Q: I hate/don't know how to use Flash. Will you do a sim date collab with me? I'll draw and stuff.
A: No.

Q: Is Wonderland Days Sim Date based off of Heart no Kuni no Alice/Alice in Heartland?
A: No, but I have heard of it. I haven't read the manga or played any of the games though.

Woooo, probably the most enjoyable part of this journal for me to write. Buckle up and get ready for a ride.

The first idea/original cast of Wonderland Days Sim Date went like this...
Oliver = White Rabbit
Clark = Mad Hatter
Henry (Name changes to Elliot) = King of Hearts
Lance = Cheshire Cat
Iris = Caterpillar or Dodo bird?? (First thought of her as a caterpillar or a dodo bird that ran a shop...)
Mabel (Was supposed to be a shop owner like Iris but died and got replaced by the twins, Sally and Sarah) = The Duchess or the March Hare?? (The Duchess was in the original Alice in Wonderland novel.)
(Noah, Sally, Sarah, Mr. Toko, and Jack were not in the first plan.)

Final cast goes like this...
Oliver = White Rabbit
Clark = Mad Hatter
Elliot = King of Hearts
Lance = Cheshire Cat
Iris = March Hare
Sally and Sarah = Twiddle Dee and Twiddle Dum (At first I didn't like the idea of having the twins in the game because they were actually not in the original novel.)
Jack = The Caterpillar
Noah = Childhood friend (Replaces the role of "Alice's sister".)
Mr. Toko = Humpty Dumpty (Also didn't like this idea at first either because Mr. Dumpty wasn't in the original novel either.)

Say hello to the first little doodle of my Wonderland. It's the first concept for the map. I was actually planning to have the croquet grounds and shoreline that the original Alice in Wonderland had, but cut those out due to... well, it just didn't work out, okay?


Here's the more final concept drawing for the map. Added the clock tower (I was originally planning to name it "The Tower of Dreams", but thought that just "The Clock Tower" was fine later. Also wanted to the call the forest "The Dark Woods", but found it to be cheesy-sounding/unfitting and changed it to "Dusk Forest".


Forgive me for my bad drawings. I was in school... and sleepy. Anyways, concept drawing of the player character/"Alice". I really wanted her to have striped, black and white stockings, but that was so unoriginal that I had to change it. I mean, look at the fan art and interpretations of Alice that people make... EVERYBODY draws her with black and white striped stockings.


Concept drawing for Oliver. He looks quite mature in this... didn't do it on purpose though. His coat was originally supposed to be red, but that kind of interfered with the king (Elliot). Only one person's color could be red and I thought that it would make more sense to let the King of Hearts have it.


Concept drawing of Lance. God, his design and colors were so simple and straight forward that I didn't change anything. Attaboy.


Oh my god, I don't know what I was doing with Henry (Name later changes to Elliot because Henry reminds me of this very evil king who beheaded his wives). The left drawing came first, but it was so bad that I drew another one which is on the right... but drawing a second one still didn't give me good results. I couldn't decided on his hair, coat, crown... everything! His final design that you see in the game was basically done by me in panic mode.

Now Noah and Jack are kind of characters that were not planned and thrown into the game at the last minute, so I never did any concept drawings of them. My original intention with Jack was to have him as the hint helper for the puzzles (Basically what Mr. Toko does now), but then I realized that people were probably going to complain and spam me about how they can't date the hot guy with the eye patch so I ended up making him a datable character.
Many people have also asked me what did Jack look like before he became a butterfly, so here's my answer:

He looked a lot cuter before if you ask me.

I shed a lot of tears and blood working on you, Wonderland Days... but I guess it was worth it.
I highly doubt that any of you read my killer long paragraphs and rants of doom, but thanks for viewing anyways~ :woohoo:

Say hello to my current project: Wonderland Days Sim Date. First fantasy themed sim date I've ever worked with. Wish me luck. Release date is yet TBA. either February or March. Note that this release date is not final. Basic concept: You've fallen down the infamous Rabbit Hole and are now in Wonderland. Flirt with up to 4 boys. (The world of sim date is so awesome cause you don't get in trouble for two timing). Since this is Wonderland, there are plenty of puzzles/riddles crap to solve. Talk, date, fall in love, ect, ect... These are the boys names by the way from left to right: Oliver, Clark, Henry Elliot, and Lance. (Ha, this is also my first sim date where the characters have English, not Japanese names). :XD:

I didn't realize how much the name "King Henry" reminded me of the actual King Henry VIII and his horrors with his wives until I actually started to work with him and think about it. Anyways, some of you may be wondering why I quit working on my previous project. Here are my wonderful reasons that you must not question: 1) Got bored of it. 2) Hated working with it. 3) I'm not cut out for creating dating sims for boys. Seriously.
I was planning to name that dead sim date "Graduation Days Sim Date". The concept basically goes something like this: It's spring and there are only 30 more days until you graduate from high school. You've never had a girlfriend before so you make it your ultimate goal to get one before all the chicks scurry off to college and you're left alone to rot as a loser.

The items menu/stats could be viewed at any time. That was nice but somewhat of a hassle to make.



Your lovely dorm room. If you clicked on the lap top sitting back there, a blank internet window would open.


Movie rental store. I spy with my little eye... Tomo.


Karaoke bar. Was supposed to be a hot dating spot. You were also supposed to be able to work there.


The Toko Burger. Some kind of fast food restaurant. Also a hot dating spot.


Your stupid friend, Taku. If you got a girlfriend before day 15, then he would give you hamburger. If you didn't get a lady by day 15, then he would keep on pestering you until you gave him a hamburger, fries, and soda.


Gal #1: Mika. Shy and likes books. Probably the most "moe" out of the whole bunch. That school uniform took me forever to design. The colors were the trickiest.


Girl #2: Rani. Energetic, bubbly, ect...


Lady #3: Keiko. Quiet and tough. She turned out prettier than I thought she would.
(Never got to making secret girl #4. I was planning to make her Arisa from Anime Sim Date 2.5 (Daichi's ex girlfriend).

What a waste of good backgrounds/graphics. :no: Hopefully I'll be able to reuse some of them in the future. Thanks for your patience everyone. Stay tuned...

So let's cut to the chase. I'm working on a commission, hoping to make some extra pocket money. I plan on making sims and flash games for larger web sites right now and maybe perhaps move onto individual commissions later. Here are some preview screens if you're curious. It's basically like "Noru Cafe 2", but in this game you get to date guys n' stuff... and it'll be called "Cafe Princess Sim Date". :p My main focus is to learn coding for mini games and make better graphics to satisfy the public's tastes. What do you use to make your games and dating sims?
Macromedia Flash 8. (I'm using a pretty "outdated" version FYI...)

Is Flash free? Does it come with most computers like MS Paint?
It does not.

Where/how can I get Flash?
It can be purchased from the official Adobe website here. Like Photoshop, it's expensive. More retailers can be found with Google.

Will you make another sim date soon?
I might (if I'm not making one right now). But from 2009-2012, I've managed to release 2-3 games per year. I work on sim dates when I please.

Why don't you make dating sims for guys?
My current audience is made up of mostly young females. I'd like to target towards them. There are many visual novels/dating simulations for males out there though. Most are in Japanese, but there are quite a few in English too. Note that many if not most of them feature erotic content. You young ones better not blame me if your parents catch you jacking off and/or viewing pornography. I've already warned you.

Why don't your dating sims have sex/pornography/hentai in them?

"Yaoi" refers to boys banging other boys and gay porn *cough* it's mature content, my ad network will eat me alive if I include it *cough* But as far as simple shonen-ai and boy romance goes, I can easily imagine myself including it in my future works. When though? I have yet to decide... the project itself really calls for these things, not me...

Will you make a dating sim about insert personal idea/concept here?
No. I generally like to come up with the concepts myself. These projects take commitment and it's usually easier for me to commit when it's personal. I'm pretty good at coming up with new ideas to work with, so don't worry about me running into block.

Will you make a insert favorite anime/book/movie/etc. here dating sim?
No. The ad network I work with will eat my face if I include any copyrighted content without the rights in my work. I am aware that I did push it with Wonderland Days Sim Date (I was a rookie/noob at the time) Back then I actually didn't know that I was pushing the limits. It was a year later that I then realized that I was able to dodge that bullet since the characters were original despite the concept.

Why do you make dating sims?
I like to think up stories, but I don't like to write. I like to doodle, but I don't like drawing a lot. Making dating sims (and visual novels) combines story telling, drawing, design, and coding. It seems to be a hobby that balances those things out well for me.

How do you unlock insert sim date characters name here?
Google's a good source for this kind of information... (I'm pretty bad at making walkthroughs)

How do you come up with your character designs for your sim dates?
Their designs are based purely on fan service... and my own judgement I suppose.

What kind of tablet do you use?
A 4x6 Wacom Bamboo. It's nothing fancy or special, but it's really grown on me. I've been using it since 2008. It's like a pet to me.

What program do you use to draw your pictures?
As of now, Easy Paint Tool SAI and Flash.

About your "How to Make a Sim Date tutorial", can you import image files and scanned pictures into a game instead of drawing directly in Flash?
Yes. You can import image files into Flash by going to File > Import > Import to Stage... or Import to Library...

I see people on this site and other sites using your art/games. Should I notify you about this?
My games are on multiple sites because of the publishers I work with. A lot of people post screen shots of my work and I'm completely okay with that too. But I'd appreciate it if I was notified if others were making a profit off my work...

Any tips for writer's/art block?
I've never found myself struggling with art block (because I'm not too artsy and I don't draw for "art" purposes) but when I get writer's block, I usually just stop writing and work on something else. The problem always seems to solve itself when I let my mind breathe a little. Finding new music (or changing the current genre I'm listening to), taking long showers, and living through daily life seems to help too.

How do you draw in Flash?
Sometimes I like to use the Pencil Tool to draw my lines and the Selection Tool to edit/bend my lines to my satisfaction. But lately, I've been using the brush tool. It seems to take me longer to finish drawings with the pen tool.

Where/how did you learn how to draw?
The wonderful internet and standard practice. But please don't use me as your role model for drawing. My anatomy/proportions are very inconsistent and "way off" because I could never draw professionally to save my life. There are so many people out there who are much, much, muuuch better. ;o; Note: There are a bunch of great drawing tutorials right here on deviantART too.

I'm horrible with Flash. Your sim date tutorial was nice, but I still don't get it at all. Will you do a sim date collab with me?

How old are you?
I was born on March 30, 1994. Subtract that by the current date/year.

What's your race/nationality?
I was born and raised in America. I am Vietnamese.

Do you speak any other languages besides English?
No. My parents do speak a lot of Vietnamese around the house, but I never bothered to learn how to speak it.

How do you pronounce your user name?
The "correct" pronunciation of "Pacthesis" is "Pac-the-sis". "Pac" as in Pacman, "the" as in The 3 Little Pigs, and "sis" as in sister.) Think of it as like... packing your sister?

What's the origin of your user name? How did you come up with it?
I chose this user name is because it was original and nobody else has ever taken it... so far anyways. "Pacthesis" is actually a name of one of my super old characters from a comic I wrote back in 7th grade. Another weird thing about this "Pacthesis" character is that he was male, not female.

Why do you like coffee?
That's like asking some people why they love the taste of sugar. Coffee naturally appeals to my taste buds... and I "need" the caffeine. Though there was a time when I was drinking too much of it. I went through some bad withdrawal. I limit myself to one cup a day now.

Where do you get your ideas/inspiration from?

My apologies for my lack of activity. I'm bad at it. If I replied to all the messages I got... I'd be on my computer all day long.

Honestly, I have to say no. It's hard to keep up with all the new ones coming in... and I don't log in everyday... and they just keep on building up... but when I browse and skim through comments, most of them contain pretty positive feedback. Thanks for all the support. ;7;

Friendship happens magically through time and experience... but overall, I don't watch a lot of people in attempt to keep my inbox from overflowing... not like it isn't already though...
